Care should be taken to ensure that the application surface is solid, dry, supporting, dust-free and clean, as well as level. Any oil, grease, rust and paraffin residue that will reduce adherence must be thoroughly cleaned. There should be no loose particles on the surface. Damaged surfaces with a depth of 5 to 20 mm should be repaired with eile TH 60 or eile TH 70 repair mortars two days in advance. If the application surface or ambient temperature is above +25°C; The application surface should be wetted and waited until there is no free water left on the surface.
Pour the appropriate amount of water into a clean mixing bowl using a scale. Add eile POMEX Ceramic Adhesive Mortar slowly into this container. The material is mixed with a low speed mixer for 3 - 5 minutes until it reaches a homogeneous consistency. The material rests for 5 minutes and is ready for use after mixing again for 20-30 seconds.

A 1 mm thick layer of POMEX Ceramic Adhesive Mortar is applied to the application surface with the flat side of the trowel. The material is pulled in one direction with the notched side of the trowel to obtain a uniform thickness. When adhering ceramics or tiles of different thicknesses, it is recommended to apply 1 mm thick mortar under each ceramic or tile in order to cover the imperfections on the application surface. In order to ensure good adhesion, force should be applied to the ceramics or tiles with the help of a rubber hammer to ensure that they come into full contact with the adhesive mortar. The application is completed by leaving the recommended joint gap according to the appropriate ceramic or tile size. POMEX brand joint filler products should be used to fill the left joint gaps.
- In the application of POMEX Ceramic Adhesive Mortar, if the ambient and surface temperature is below +5°C or above +35°C, appropriate temperatures should be waited. Application should not be made in extremely hot, rainy or windy weather.
- A proper moisture level is required to increase the performance of the adhesive mortar.
- The spreading thickness should be at least 3 mm and at most 6 mm.
- Ceramics with high water absorption should be saturated with water before application.
- Water and new materials should never be added to the mixture that has started to dry.
- On very porous surfaces, ceramic application should be started after priming the surface with eile ASTAR E product.
- Joint gaps wider than 6 mm should be filled with pomex rusik joint joint.
- The application should begin after impermeable and shiny surfaces have been primed with eile TU 05 or eile TU 06.
- The joint application can be started after at least 24 hours.
- Eile POMAX 28 product should be used for applications higher than 3 m on the interior and exterior of buildings.
