Before the joint gap sealant applications, the residues such as dust, sawdust, construction cement in the grout gap should be removed without damaging the ceramic in order to get a homogenous drying. The grout gaps especially on walls should be moisturized. Before the application of grout sealant, the adhesive must complete curing.
A clean mixing bowl is filled with the necessary amount of water by means of a scale. POMEX POOL JOINT is slowly added into the water. It is mixed with a low speed mixer for 3 - 4 minutes until obtaining a homogenous mixture. The mixture waits for 5-10 minutes in the mixing bowl and mixed again for 20-30 seconds to get it ready for use.

The prepared grout sealant is spread on the surface with transversal moves to fill the grout gaps completely. The excess on the surface should be removed using a wet sponge or a soft tipped spatula. When POMEX POOL JOINT surface filed in the grout gaps dries, the surface should be cleaned using a wet sponge with circular moves. This should take place usually after 15-30 minutes. This period is shortened when a coating material with high absorbency is used or the weather is too hot or windy. If the wiping is done too early or with a too wet sponge, the color of POMEX GROUT SEALANT might fluctuate. The sponge used for wiping should be clean.
- For POMEX POOL JOINT application, if the ambient temperature is below +5°C or above +35°C, the suitable conditions should be met. Extremely hot, rainy or windy weather is not suitable for application.
- The ceramics with high water absorbency rate should be saturated with water before the application.
- The mortar starting to dry should not be mixed with water or new materials.
- The application area should is recommended to be moisturized with water the following day for high performance.
- Grout holes to be filled with Pomex pool joint should not be larger than 6 mm.
- Before the application of grout sealant, the adhesive must complete curing.
