Before the joint application, any substances such as dust, sawdust, construction cement residues that may be present in the joint gaps should be cleaned in a way that does not damage the ceramic. Especially on the walls, the joint gaps should be moistened before application. The adhesive should be cured before the joint filler application.
A clean mixing bowl is filled with the necessary amount of water by means of a scale. eile POMEX GROUT SEALANT is slowly added into the mixing bowl. It is mixed with a low speed mixer for 3 - 5 minutes until obtaining a homogenous mixture. The mixture waits for 5-10 minutes in the mixing bowl and mixed again for 20-30 seconds to get it ready for use.
Karışım Oranı: 6.5-7.5 liters of water for 20 kg powder, 0.325 - 0.375 for 1 kg powder.
The prepared grout gap sealant is spread on the surface with transversal moves to fill the joint gaps completely. The excess on the surface should be removed using a wet sponge or a soft tipped spatula. When POMEX GROUT SEALANT surface filed in the grout gaps is dried up, the surface should be cleaned using a wet sponge with circular moves. This should take place usually after 15-30 minutes. This period is shortened when a coating material with high absorbency is used or the weather is too hot or windy. If the wiping is done too early or with a too wet sponge, the color of POMEX GROUNT SEALANT might fluctuate. The sponge used for wiping should be clean.
- If the ambient temperature is below +5°C or above +35°C, the suitable conditions should be met. Extremely hot, rainy or windy weather is not suitable for application.
- Grout holes to be filled with Pomex grout sealant should not be larger than 6 mm.
- The ceramics with high water absorbency rate should be saturated with water before the application.
- The mortar starting to dry should not be mixed with water or new materials. Before the application of grout sealant, the adhesive must complete curing.
