Before application, the surface should be cleaned from materials which may prevent adherence such as dust, oil and paint. Cracks-gaps, carbonated or corroded parts on the surfaces should be repaired. The edges should be rounded with 10 mm diameter at least. Use cement based corrosion preventive eile SNS 804 and repair mortar eile TH 70 for repairs. The tensile strength of the application surface should be 1 N/mm² at least. During application, the moisture rate of the surface should not exceed 5%.

B component is added into A component and there is no material in B component. The mixture is mixed for 3-4 minutes with a low speed mixer until it gets homogeneous grey colour and it’s ready to use.

Carboshield should be cut with an appropriate scissors or utility knife. After eile EPX 33 is applied on the surface with a roller, Carbonshield is applied by stretching in the direction of the fibres. In order eile EPX 33 epoxy adhesive not to go out from fibres and not to have an air gap, a pressure should be done with a roller on fibres. Then, eile EPX 33 adhesive should be applied again and the material should be laminated between two-coat epoxy.

• During application, ambient and surface temperature should not be under +10 °C and over +30 °C.
• The surfaces should have sufficient strength.
• The surface should be smooth and dry and moisture rate of the application surface should not exceed 5%, if moisture is over that percent, it should be used with moisture surface epoxy plaster eile EPX 021.
• When applying on steel surfaces, sand blasting with SA2/5 level should be done.
• Care should be taken for mixture rates.
• Wait 12 hours minimum between coats.

It should be stored in unopened original package in a cool and dry place and over +5°C and under +35°C away from direct sunlight.
