Care should be taken that cement based surfaces to be repaired should be durable, bearer, dust-free and clean. Oil, grease, rust and paraffin residues which may reduce adherence should be cleaned. Gaps with depth more than 2 cm should be filled with eile TH 70 repair mortar. The application surface should be saturated with water and care should be taken that there is no free water on the surface.
The recommended clean water amount is poured into mixture bucket. eile AK 8 is added into this bucket slowly. It is mixed with a low speed mixer approximately 3-4 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. It’s allowed to stand for 5 minutes. Then it’s mixed 30 seconds and the mixture is ready to use.

The prepared mixture is applied with a trowel as the waterlogged surface before. eile AK 8 (fine aggregate)1-4 mm thickness, eile AK 8 (coarse aggregate) applied in a single layer of 4-10 mm thickness.
- The exposed concrete repair mortar should be used within 30 minutes at 20°C temperature.
- Operating and setting times of cement based systems are influenced by temperature and moisture. Cement-water reaction slows down at low temperatures and operating time is extended. Operating time is shortened at low temperatures due to rapid reaction. The change of hydration speed depending on ambient and floor temperature causes changes in abovementioned times. Therefore application should be done within recommended period of time.
- It should not be applied on surfaces which are frozen, melting or risk of rain or frost within 24 hours.
- The surface on which is applied eile AK 8 should be protected from sun and wind for 24 hours.
