The application surface should be clean. The surface should be free from adherence decreasing residues such as dust, paint and oil as well as loose parts. The cracks and holes on the surface should be fixed by using eile TH 60 or eile TH 70 repair mortars. Early drying and shedding risk of eile Mineral Plaster should be eliminated on the surfaces with high absorbency.
A clean mixing bowl is filled with the necessary amount of water by means of a scale. Then, eile DS 40 is slowly added into the mixing bowl. It is mixed with a low speed mixer for 3 - 5 minutes until obtaining a homogenous mixture. The mixture waits for 5 minutes and mixed again for 20-30 seconds before application.

The ready-to-use material should be applied to the surface with a trowel, ensuring an even thickness. After the applied mortar has absorbed water, the surface should be moistened with a plasterer's brush. The surface is finished as desired using a steel trowel. Particularly in hot or windy conditions, rapid water loss from the plaster should be prevented for 24-48 hours using curing compound or water. Note: For fine-aggregate DS 40: 2,0-2.5 kg/m2 for 1,5 mm thickness. For coarse-aggregate DS 40: 3,0-3,5 kg/m2 for 2,0-2,5 mm thickness
- In the application of eile DS 40, appropriate temperatures should be waited if the ambient temperature is below +5 C or above +30 C. Application should not be made in extremely hot, rainy or windy weather.
- eile DS 40 application thickness should not exceed 5 mm.
- Water and new material should never be added to the eile DS 40 mixture that has encrusted in the container.
- It should not be applied on surfaces that are frozen, melting or in danger of freezing within 24 hours.
- The prepared mixture should be consumed within 120 minutes at 20 °C.
