eile POLYURETHANE SEALANT 100-D uygulama

The surfaces to be applied with eile POLYURETHANE MASTIC 100- D should be dry and clean. Application temperature should be between 5-30 °C. It should not be applied on wet, frozen or permanently waterlogged surfaces. The expansion and contraction movement of the application surface should not exceed 25% of the joint width. If necessary, easily removable adhesive tapes can be applied to both sides of the joint to achieve a neat appearance. These tapes should be removed immediately after application before the product cures. The application surface should be primed with eile PUR 710. If the surface is damp (max 8%), it should be primed with eile EPX 021.

eile POLYURETHANE SEALANT 100-D After proper joint and surface preparation, place the joint sealant to the required depth and apply the primer. When applying the polyethylene wick, special care must be taken not to puncture the outer coating. Otherwise, bubbles may form as the temperature rises. The use of the wick as a solid and stable support is important for the correct ratio of width to depth and for the proper application of the sealant. The recommended width is between 10 and 40 mm. The width/depth ratio of the joint should be approximately 2:1.

  • In extremely hot, windy and rainy weathers, application should not be done if the ambient temperature is below +5 °C or above +30°C.
  • Direct application to unstable substrates is not recommended.
  • Minimum 10 mm. depth is applied and the ratio of width to depth should be 2:1.
  • There should be no moisture and humidity in the application environment and joint. Otherwise, air bubbles may form inside the polyurethane sealant.
  • Gloves and goggles must be used during application and contact with eyes and skin must be avoided.
