Materials reducing adherence such as dust, sawdust, construction cement in the joint gap should be removed. The joint gaps should be moisturized especially in hot and windy weather conditions. This process should be carried out even when the coating materials with high absorbency rate are used. Before the application, make sure that the adhesive material has completed curing.
A clean mixing bowl is filled with the necessary amount of water by means of a scale. Pomex Rustic Joint Sealant is slowly added. A homogeneous mixture is prepared by mixing it with a low speed mixer for 3 - 5 minutes. The mixture waits for 5-10 minutes before being mixed for another 20-30 seconds in order to get it ready for use.

The prepared grout sealant is spread on the surface with transversal moves to fill the grout gaps completely. The excess on the surface should be removed using a wet sponge or a soft tipped spatula. When Pomex Rustic Joint Sealant filed in the joint gaps dries, the surface should be cleaned using a wet sponge with circular moves. This should take place usually after 15-30 minutes.
- For POMEX RUSTIC JOINT SEALANT application, if the ambient temperature is below +5°C or above +35°C, the suitable conditions should be met. Extremely hot, rainy or windy weather is not suitable for application.
- The prepared mortar mixture should be consumed within an hour. The crustated mixtures or those with expired pot life should be avoided for application.
- The homogeneous mixture should not be mixed with any foreign materials.
- The POMEX RUSTIC JOINT SEALANT starting to dry should not be mixed with water or new materials.
- Before the application of grout gap sealant the adhesive must complete curing.
